Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our law firm's team in this full-time, benefited position.

The Finance Manager manages the Firm’s financial operations, including but not limited to:

• designing a finance department

• managing and supervising finance department personnel and make hiring/firing recommendations to Administrator/Managing Partner

• overseeing day-to-day financial operations (accounts payable, receivable, and collections)

• prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and production reports

• present financial reports at partner meetings (f) provide advice to partners on Firm’s financial and investment decisions

• analyze Firm’s financials and understand market trends necessary to make financial predictions to maximize profits

• create and manage Firm’s budget

• implement policies, procedures and reporting processes to minimize financial risk and fraud

• ensure all Firm’s financial and investment activities comply with local state and federal law

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Firm’s Administrator and Managing Partner and work cooperatively with the Firm’s CPA to ensure efficient financial operations. Responsibilities include:

• Client billing and collections

• Payroll

• Accounts Payable

• General and tax accounting

• Benefit and retirement accounting

• Attorney reimbursements

• Financial policies and procedures

• Supervision of accounting clerks
