About Brad

Brad practiced law as a Barrister and Solicitor in British Columbia, Canada for five years, starting his legal practice with the national firm of Lang Michener in Vancouver, B.C. He moved to Oregon in 1999, where he worked at the firm of Harrang Long. In 2005, he joined Hutchinson Cox and later became partner. His experience includes civil litigation, multi-party real estate disputes, and other complex litigation matters. Brad employs a creative approach to problem-solving for his clients in negotiation or, when needed, in the courtroom.

Brad is very active in the Oregon legal community. He has served as judge Pro Tempore for the Lane County Circuit Court since 2018 and is Past-President of the Lane County Bar Association. Recently, Brad was recognized by the Lane County Bar Association as the recipient of the Joseph M. Kosydar Award for Professionalism. In 2023, Brad was appointed by the Lane County Presiding Judge to serve on the Lane County Circuit Court Arbitration Commission. In January 2025, Brad will teach an upper-level class at the University of Oregon School of Law as an adjunct faculty member. Brad currently serves as the firm’s Co-Managing Partner.

Brad was born in Canada but has made Oregon his home with his wife and four children for over 20 years. He enjoys the outdoors, performing as a choir member for the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, playing his banjo, and spending time with his family.
