About Jens
After graduating from law school, Jens clerked for two years at the Oregon Court of Appeals, where he assisted a judge in researching and writing judicial opinions. He then served in a one-year assignment in the Honors Program at the Oregon Department of Justice, working in the Appellate Division writing briefs and arguing cases on behalf of the State of Oregon in the Oregon Court of Appeals. He then entered private practice. During his career in private practice spanning more than three decades, Jens has represented individuals, businesses, higher education institutions, and state and local governmental entities in civil litigation in the state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies. He defends his clients against employment claims, business and commercial claims, personal injury claims, and civil rights claims. Jens enjoys working collaboratively with his clients to develop and execute a strategy that will most effectively reach his clients’ goals. He takes pride in managing litigation in ways that assist the client in controlling costs.
Jens has resided in Oregon for over 40 years. He and his wife enjoy tennis, bicycling, running, hiking, backpacking, fishing and traveling. They visit their children and grandchildren in Washington and Colorado as often as reasonably possible.
